Editorial Policy

How we research, test, and update content at TMProxy Blog.

Welcome to TMProxy Blog — a knowledge-sharing platform about proxies, networking, and security maintained by the TMProxy team. This page describes the editorial process we follow to ensure every article is accurate, useful, and trustworthy.

Research Methodology

Each article is built on a combination of hands-on experience from the TMProxy operations team and reputable technical sources. We prioritize:

  • Official documentation from protocol and software developers (RFCs, official docs).
  • Test results conducted by our team on real infrastructure.
  • Reports and statistics from recognized technology research organizations.

We do not publish content based solely on secondary sources without verification.

Testing Process

For technical guides and product comparisons, we conduct real-world testing before publication:

  • Proxy & Networking: Speed, latency, and success rates are measured on TMProxy infrastructure across multiple countries.
  • Software & Tools: Installation, configuration, and operation are performed on real environments, not simulated.
  • Test results are documented using a dedicated "Test Results" card within articles, including the specific test date.

Update Frequency

Content is reviewed periodically to ensure accuracy:

  • Technical guides: reviewed every 6 months or when significant changes occur.
  • Product comparisons: updated when new versions are released or pricing changes.
  • Foundational knowledge: reviewed annually.

The "Last reviewed" date displayed at the bottom of each article indicates the most recent review.

Data Sources

We cite sources clearly in each article through the "Sources & References" section at the bottom. Sources typically include:

  • Official technical documentation (RFCs, MDN, vendor docs).
  • Research from reputable organizations.
  • Internal test data from TMProxy infrastructure.

Independence

This blog is operated by the TMProxy team. While our products may be mentioned in articles, we are committed to:

  • Presenting information objectively, including both strengths and limitations.
  • Not removing or hiding negative feedback about our own products.
  • Clearly disclosing when an article relates to TMProxy products.
